The countdown has begun! In just three days, the Serbian Film Festival 2025 opens its doors in Washington, D.C., bringing a dynamic program of films, cultural events, and international artists to the capital.
This year, the festival proudly welcomes three distinguished Serbian film artists:
Sergej Trifunović – Legendary actor and star of the film Volja Sinovljeva (The Son’s Will) (2025) Igor Benčina – Praised for powerful roles in Volja Sinovljeva and Videoteka (Videotheque) (2024) Luka Bursać – Promising director known for the films Afterparty (2017) and Videoteka
The festival opening begins on Friday, October 17th, at the AMC Georgetown cinema with a red carpet ceremony and a screening of the film Volja Sinovljeva, a bold post-apocalyptic drama starring Trifunović and Benčina. The evening continues with a Festival DJ Party at Ambar Lounge (formerly Baba).
