Aleksa Tomić from Kikinda won a silver medal at the International Junior Geography Olympiad, a world olympiad for elementary school students, which was held in Belgrade for the past few days.

The competitors had a practical part, a multimedia test that consisted of recognizing geographical phenomena or processes from the photos they received and a test with questions.

Our Aleksa represented Serbia individually, and the participants in this olympiad were the best elementary school students from their countries.

Let us also remind you that Aleksa won first places at the National Geography Olympiad twice in a row, as well as that he won a bronze medal at the European Geography Olympiad in Lithuania last month. He was prepared for the competitions by professor Miroslav Grujić.

This year, Aleksa finished the “Sveti Sava” Elementary School as the valedictorian and enrolled in the natural sciences and mathematics major at the “Dušan Vasiljev” Gymnasium.
