European Union and United Kingdom leaders have adopted a joint statement outlining a number of key positions following the summit between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump in Alaska. Among other things, they stated that Ukraine must receive “ironclad security guarantees.”
The statement also says that Kyiv must be able to make its own decisions regarding its territory and that they will assist in preparing a trilateral Russia-U.S.-Ukraine summit.
