Serbia decisively defeated America in the quarterfinals of the World Water Polo Championship and is going for a medal – 14:9. They await the winner of the match between Croatia and Hungary for a place in the semi-finals.

This was a duel between the Olympic champion and the third-place team from the Olympic Games. But only on paper, as there was only one team in the pool.

There were concerns about America, which finished the first phase of the competition undefeated, but the Dolphins dominated the pool from the start.

At the beginning of the second quarter, our team gained a three-goal lead – 4:1. Then followed a slight dip in play, allowing the Americans to close to 4:3.

However, the Dolphins then stepped on the gas and built an insurmountable lead. With a run of five consecutive points, our team took a 9:3 lead midway through the third period.

Until the end of the match, our team expertly maintained a 4-5 goal difference and entered the top four in the world.
