The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, stated today that as things stand next Saturday, when a large protest has been announced in Belgrade, the opposition will try to do something with violence and said that then, as he said, they will be finished.
“They know they have no more time, so they will have to throw everything at one card.” Unfortunately, they will try to do something with violence and then they will realize that it is over for them. Many will end up behind bars who will commit criminal acts, the latter will realize that they were lied to by these politicians who promised them that something could be done with violence, and that’s it. So, as things stand on Saturday evening, we will play the end,” said Vučić in Alibunar in a conversation with citizens during a tour of the Inclusive-Educational Center.
He pointed out that he survived everything, but not that someone, as happened last night in Pionirski Park in Belgrade, would attack children just because they want to learn.
To the journalist’s comment that the opposition is inviting everyone to come to that big protest and the question of how to prevent violence, Vučić replied that they don’t even have to invite anyone since, as he said, they are all coming.
“They all come, from these businessmen, tycoons, these multimillionaires, various.” And how to prevent violence? You cannot prevent violence when someone wants violence. If someone wants to hit you, you can’t stop it. You can punish the one who did it. You can arrest him and punish him, and prevent him from committing further violence. And people who are determined to commit violence, you can’t even prevent it,” said Vučić.
He pointed out that the state has shown democratic capacity and tolerance for four months, as well as patience, that no one in the world can say anything.
“They carried knives, stun guns, smoke bombs, shock bombs, knives again, they didn’t do anything. They attacked women, beat them as far as they could. They attacked children aged 18, 19, 20 last night in Pionirski Park. “I guess at no point should anyone appear who thinks differently than them, because the plenums have probably decided that only they are allowed to exist on the globe, so yes, that’s it,” said Vučić.
When asked by journalists how long people will be held hostage by these circumstances, Vučić repeated that it will be over next Saturday.
“I’m telling you, they know they’re running out of time, they know they’ve oversold this whole thing about N1 and SBB and everything else.” They are in a hurry, so I expect them to fully apply their violence on Saturday and then that’s the end,” said Vučić, reports Tanjug.
