Twenty students gathered today in front of the Temple of Saint Sava from where they set off on a relay race to Kragujevac to return the baton to their colleagues from that city, who had previously handed it to them, and to attend the big protest on Statehood Day of Serbia. They will run in groups of five students each.
As they told N1, they are returning the baton to their colleagues in Kragujevac, with which they invited them to a big rally they are organizing tomorrow, on Statehood Day.
Student Lana from the Faculty of Economics said that they are ready for the trip, that they brought changes of clothes, but no food because, as she says, they hope that locals will welcome them in the places they pass through. She also says that the students’ wishes will be fulfilled.
“I personally run because we no longer have time to sit and wait at home,” she stated, adding that they view this marathon as a performance because they are running towards freedom.

The route is Belgrade – Avala – Mladenovac – Kragujevac. The plan is to arrive in Kragujevac tonight.
The runners wear T-shirts with the inscription “Let’s meet on Sretenje”.
As a reminder, the students who set off on foot from three directions to Kragujevac should arrive in that city tonight around 7:30 PM, where they will participate in the “Let’s meet on Sretenje” rally tomorrow.
