A 20-year-old girl was hit by a car today at the start of a traffic blockade on Ruzveltova Street at 11:52 AM. The car carried her on the windshield, which shattered in the incident, and the student sustained severe injuries. Emergency services transported her to the Emergency Center, where she was diagnosed with severe trauma and remains in critical condition, though she arrived at the hospital conscious.
Police officers from the Belgrade City Police Department have identified and located the driver, M.P. (37). It is suspected that two other individuals were in the vehicle at the time. Police are working with the prosecution to establish all the facts and circumstances of the incident.

She Was Conscious
The Emergency Medical Service received a call at 11:53 AM and promptly dispatched a team to the scene.
“The patient (20) was immediately transported to the Emergency Center. She was conscious upon arrival. She was admitted to the red zone, and severe trauma was diagnosed. The extent of her injuries is not yet known as she is currently undergoing diagnostic evaluation,” the Emergency Service told Nova.rs.
Driver Came Through the Sidewalk
According to reports, the driver approached via the sidewalk from the direction of Kralja Aleksandra Boulevard and hit the girl. People rushed to help her, and the car’s windshield was shattered during the incident.
Footage shows that the driver of a “Ford Focus” hit the girl during the blockade, carried her on the roof of the vehicle, and then she fell and sustained injuries.
Police arrived on the scene, and organizers are urging attendees who recorded the event to submit their footage.
