Nikola Jokić is so focused on every detail happening on the court that even the referees have to watch what they’re doing. Literally, they have to be careful and not do their job below the maximum level.
The Denver Nuggets managed to defeat the San Antonio Spurs as guests with a score of 122:111 after a big comeback, but many missed an interesting scene. At least at first.
Even the commentators initially paid more attention to the story about the MVP award and whether Shai Gilgeous-Alexander could challenge Jokić.
Meanwhile, Jokić felt offended by the way the referee passed him the ball. He kept shouting “Come on” and was dissatisfied with the way the ball came to him.

This upset him so much that he threw the ball back towards the referee and demanded that he correct himself and fix his own mistake.
The referee’s reaction was unusual.
It’s extremely rare for a referee to approach a player and for it to be clearly readable from his lips.
“My mistake,” the referee said, and then everything continued as usual.
