Dmitry Medvedev, former President of Russia and current Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, was the first from Russia to comment on Donald Trump’s victory in the U.S. presidential election.
“Donald Trump deeply despises spending money on various sycophants and parasites, and Ukraine falls into that category,” Medvedev stated.

He noted that just a few days ago, he had written about the “frenzied bipartisan anti-Russian consensus on Capitol Hill.”
“Trump has one trait that works in our favor: as a businessman at heart, he deeply despises spending money on various sycophants and parasites—on idiotic allies, bad charity projects, and voracious international organizations. The toxic Bandera Ukraine is in the same line,” he wrote on his Telegram channel.
