Today in Novi Sad, a large commemorative gathering is being held to mark the anniversary of the collapse of the Railway Station canopy, in which 16 people lost their lives and one was seriously injured. Because of this, thousands of students arrived in the city last night to join their Novi Sad colleagues in commemorating this sad day. And just today, part of the city is without both electricity and water. Coincidence or not, wonders Bojan Pajtić, professor at the Faculty of Law in this city, who shared the information on the social network X.

Bojan Pajtić, professor at the Faculty of Law in Novi Sad, wrote on the social network X that today, in the city where the anniversary of the Railway Station canopy collapse is being marked — in which 16 people died and one was seriously injured — the water has been shut off.

“In Novi Sad THEY TURNED OFF THE WATER TODAY. This must be the Leader’s apology in practice,” wrote Pajtić.

That there is indeed no water was also reported by the local Novi Sad media outlet 021.rs, which stated that the public utility company “Vodovod i kanalizacija” announced that, due to a power outage at the Water Treatment Plant, there was also an interruption in water supply.

“EPS teams are on the ground and working to fix the malfunction. We hope the problem will be resolved quickly,” stated “Vodovod i kanalizacija.”

According to reports from citizens to 021.rs, there is no water in the city center, Podbara, Telep, Adice, Satelit, Detelinara, Rotkvarija, part of Liman, Banatić, Grbavica, Kisač, Futog, and Veternik.
