Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić claims that last night’s student announcement about the green light was “a direct call for civil conflicts.”

“I demand from the prosecution to do their job, not to pretend to be clumsy and naive. The time for accountability is coming. I will not sign pardons or amnesties,” Vučić said.

Vučić announced that many more people would be arrested for attacking the police.

“During the establishment of order and peace, a total of 48 police officers were injured. One police officer sustained serious injuries, including head injuries and a fractured cheekbone, most likely from a thrown stone.”

Dačić also announced that 38 individuals were detained, and that criminal charges would be filed against 35 of them, while a request for misdemeanor proceedings would be filed against 26 individuals. He also stated that one minor was among those detained.

He pointed out that 22 citizens reported to the Emergency Center for medical assistance, two of whom sustained serious bodily injuries, while one person did not sustain any injuries.
