VUČIĆ ORGANIZED A RECEPTION FOR THE WATER POLO PLAYERS: Serbia’s best player Dušan Mandić did not appear!

The best water polo player in Serbia, Dušan Mandić, did not appear at the reception with the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić.

The reasons for Mandić’s failure to attend the reception are not known.

President Vučić received the players and coaching staff of the new champion of Europe, as well as the leaders of the Water Polo Association of Serbia.

Of the players, Miloš Ćuk was also not present, as he had to miss the final against Hungary due to a high temperature and a virus.

Mandić has won eight gold medals with the Serbian national team, including three Olympic, four European, and one world gold.

It is known that at the reception after the Olympic Games in Paris, he did not want to shake hands with the Mayor of Belgrade, Aleksandar Šapić, due to the poor treatment he received while playing at VK Novi Beograd.

Mandić openly supported the student protests and was present at the large gathering in Belgrade on March 15, 2025.
