President of Serbia ALEKSANDAR VUČIĆ has spoken out following the death of the head of the Roman Catholic Church, POPE FRANCIS, expressing his condolences in a message shared on his X (formerly Twitter) account. Vučić stated he received the news with “great sorrow.”
“With great sorrow, I received the news of the passing of His Holiness POPE FRANCIS. The world has lost an exceptional spiritual leader who, through his apostolic mission, spread love, peace, and solidarity. His work in strengthening interreligious dialogue and his commitment to humanism have left an indelible mark on history,” VUČIĆ wrote.
“POPE FRANCIS was a messenger of hope and reconciliation, always in service of the most vulnerable. His loss is a sorrow for all of us.
