Igor Dodik, the organizational secretary of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) and the son of the leader of that party, Milorad Dodik, stated today that Sarajevo media and political circles are once again trying to create a conspiracy theory out of what he assessed as an obvious political and diplomatic fact—the visit of Donald Trump Junior to Banja Luka.
“Donald Trump Jr. is coming to Banja Luka at my personal invitation and on a friendly basis. This visit has nothing to do with any fictional arrangements spoken of by Sarajevo portals,” Igor Dodik told the Srna news agency, referring to reports by Sarajevo media that the visit of Trump’s son to Banja Luka was paid for.
According to him, the visit of Donald Trump Junior to Banja Luka is “bought” to them, just as, as he stated, “all other victories that Republika Srpska has achieved in recent years—from political to economic—are also bought to them.”
“After the foreign policy and economic successes of Republika Srpska, including the trust recently shown to us on the international financial market, they are now trying to discredit the political contacts that Republika Srpska is establishing in the world,” Igor Dodik believes.
He added that “those who are not used to thinking with their own head, but someone else’s, who are not used to their own successes and therefore rejoice in others’ failures, and who instead of agreements have lived for years off impositions, naturally cannot understand what is clear to everyone else.”
He emphasized that today’s visit of Donald Trump Jr. to Banja Luka is the result of years of work by Republika Srpska on building relationships, trust, and alliances with people and addresses in the world that represent a policy of common sense.
“It is a policy that stems from a simple truth—that no one else can decide about our people and our future except the Serbian people, and that is a right it shares with the rest of the civilized world,” assessed the SNSD organizational secretary.
He stated that on these principles, Republika Srpska today talks and cooperates with influential addresses across all meridians of the world.
And precisely because of that, he says, such meetings are no longer an exception, but a natural result of the policy that Republika Srpska has been leading for years.
Stating that the Serbian people throughout history have shown they “have no other principles but freedom, justice, and Christian values,” he assessed that it is precisely these values that connect Serbs with many people around the world, including the family of US President Donald Trump and political circles that share the conviction that nations must have the right to decide their own destiny.
“That is why today I want to say something that bothers many, but it is the truth – Republika Srpska is entering a time of its political and economic victories,” Igor Dodik concluded.
