Young Serbian basketball player Nikola Topić, just over a year after being drafted by the Oklahoma City Thunder, finally debuted for the team in the NBA Summer League. He showcased exactly why he was brought in and that he can be seriously counted on in the coming year, despite his team’s 80-92 loss.
Nikola played excellently tonight, and with some of his moves, he literally “dazzled” the Americans, who enthusiastically shared his highlights on social media.

Topić scored 14 points tonight, shooting 4/7 on two-pointers and 2/4 on three-pointers. He also grabbed one rebound and dished out four assists.
In his lineup, AJ Mitchell stood out the most with 24 points, while for Memphis, the duo of Jaylen Wells and GG Jackson led the way, both scoring 20 points each.
Notably, another Serbian basketball player, Stefan Todorović, who played for Pepperdine University, was supposed to play tonight. However, by coach’s decision, he sat out the entire game for Philadelphia, who lost to Utah 89-93.
