The Serbian team of young mathematicians won three medals at the 16th Romanian Master of Mathematics (RMM), one of the most prestigious international mathematics competitions for students under 19, held in Bucharest from February 10 to 15, the Serbian IMO team announced today.
Novak Despotović, a student of the Mathematical Grammar School in Belgrade, won a silver medal, while his schoolmates Stefan Šebez and Nina Šušić won bronze medals.

Nina Šušić was also one of the youngest participants in the competition, and an important part of the Serbian team was Petar Stojiljković, a student of the “Svetozar Marković” Grammar School in Niš.
This year, 98 students from 18 countries around the world participated in the mathematics master, with China and the USA competing with their strongest teams. Of them, 64 students were in the official competition, further highlighting the exceptional value of the Serbian team’s achievement, the statement emphasized.
