“I’m fine, I’m still in front of the police station,” director and FDU professor Stevan Filipović tells Nova.rs, after being detained at the Majke Jevrosime Police Station and then released.
“This must not scare us in any way. It didn’t scare me. The goal of this action is terror,” Filipović assesses for Nova.rs, following his release from custody.
The director states that two young men, who were detained with him, were “framed” for assaulting an official and were held: “Fortunately, they couldn’t ‘pin’ anything on me because I was filming and live-streaming my arrest on Instagram. That’s why it was impossible for them to ‘frame’ me for anything. I’ve now seen firsthand that everything is on the verge of breaking. It’s clear that even the police have had enough. And that’s why we must continue with protests and blockades,” Stevan Filipović concludes.

Details of the Detention
As a reminder, Stevan Filipović was standing with his phone today, recording the address of Democratic Party President Srđan Milivojević, who read out the police’s duties to them. Filipović was one of many who gathered in front of the Police Station in Majke Jevrosime, due to the arrest of two citizens who were apprehended near Dom Vojske, after which he was detained and then released.
Four Students Also Released
Four FDU students, out of a total of six detained, have left the Misdemeanor Court. It is still unknown what happened to the other two citizens.
According to N1’s reporter, one admitted guilt “so he wouldn’t have to wait for the hearing,” and another received a fine. All have been released, but it is unknown how the judge will further decide on these proceedings.
