Police officers of the Belgrade Police Directorate are intensively searching for an unknown attacker, that is, the person shown in the photograph we are publishing, who attacked an unfortunate woman with a knife in front of her grandson.
According to the police, he is linked to the commission of the criminal offense of robbery in the territory of the Novi Beograd municipality.
- The police are appealing to citizens who have any information about this person to contact the Belgrade Police Directorate at the phone number 011/279-75-42 or to call 192 – the police announced.
The moment of the attack, when the unknown assailant stabbed the woman (67) in Novi Beograd, was recorded by security cameras. As could be seen, the cameras captured the moment when the elderly woman entered the building together with her grandson, whom she had previously taken to the park.

Immediately after them, a man entered the building who later turned out to be the attacker; without drawing attention, he approached them from behind.
- The footage shows the woman walking down the hallway with the child and approaching the staircase. At that moment, the man comes up behind them. The attacker then pulled out a knife and attacked the woman, while the boy witnessed everything and, out of fear, remained sitting on the stairs next to his grandmother – says a Kurir source who had access to the surveillance footage.
As he further states, after the attack, the assailant took the injured woman’s bag and quickly left the building. The entire incident lasted a very short time, but is clearly visible in the footage, which the police are using in the investigation to identify the suspect.
The injured woman was taken care of and provided with medical assistance, and the police carried out an on-site investigation and launched an intensive search for the suspect.
The identity of the attacker is currently unknown.
