During tonight’s guest appearance of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić on Dnevnik 2, the Radio Television of Serbia presenter called the students a mob, which was the reason for their sudden action to block the entrance to the public service building.

In one part of the guest appearance, Vučić asked why the protest to be held on March 15 was not scheduled in front of the Palace of Serbia or somewhere else. He then referred to the “students 2.0” who have been camping in front of the Presidency of Serbia for several days, demanding an end to the faculty blockades.

“Instead, they scheduled it there, so they could physically endanger someone. Then you ask, ‘why doesn’t someone remove those who are the only ones legally there and who don’t bother anyone.’ They haven’t blocked anyone’s path, they haven’t stepped on anyone’s toes,” to which the RTS presenter replied with “that’s right,” and then said: “you shouldn’t count on the goodwill of the mob.”

This statement by the RTS journalist was the trigger for the students’ sudden action, who blocked the RTS building tonight, i.e., the entrances to the public service for 22 hours.
