After his victory against Sebastian Korda and his placement in the Miami semi-finals, Novak Djokovic stated that his serve helped him a lot, that he managed to overcome this great obstacle with it.
-I’m really serving great throughout the tournament, especially today, I needed it. Sebastian made me run, he didn’t make mistakes like in the first set. I needed the serves to get out of trouble, I got into a situation to make a break which I did. Again, the serve pulled me out, maybe it’s the highlight of the match, I expected a challenge. He has so much talent, plays close to the line, takes time away from his opponent, but I managed.
His next opponent will be Grigor Dimitrov, with whom Novak has really good relations.

-I saw the match yesterday, it’s incredible how they fought for three hours. Grigor was saving match points, he’s fighting, we get along great, we’re good friends. We’ve played so many times at all tournaments and surfaces, he’s in form, semi-finals last year, semi-finals this year, I’ll have to be ready for the toughest match so far.
Korda was really good from the baseline, but Djokovic found holes in him.
-The serve is definitely the highlight of today’s match, I saw the statistics, it’s a relief when I get more easy points on the first serve. I needed it against Korda who was tough and aggressive, he made a lot fewer mistakes in the second. He threw me off my rhythm, a tense match, but a great ending – concluded Djokovic.
The organizers have already set the time for the semi-final match, which will be ideal for all fans in Serbia, as the start of this duel is scheduled for Friday at 8 PM.
