THE LEGEND DESERVED IT: Duda Ivković to become a Hall of Fame member and the only European in the Class of 2025!

One of the greatest coaches in the history of European basketball, renowned Serbian coach Dušan Duda Ivković, is among the finalists for induction into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield.

Interestingly, the legendary coach is the only candidate from outside North America to be on the verge of induction into the Class of 2025.

List of candidates:

North America: 2008 USA Olympic Team, players Carmelo Anthony, Buck Williams, Dwight Howard, Marques Johnson, Jerry Welsh, referee Danny Crawford, and coaches Billy Donovan and Mark Few. Women’s Basketball – Players: Jennifer Azzi, Sue Bird, Sylvia Fowles, Maya Moore, Maureen Bolin. International Basketball: Dušan Ivković. Contributors to Basketball: Micky Arison and Tal Brody.

“The new class will be presented on April 5 in San Antonio during the NCAA Men’s Final Four,” stated the Hall of Fame Committee.

Dušan Duda Ivković, who passed away in 2021, led the Yugoslav national team to Olympic silver in Seoul 1988, three European gold medals, and won two EuroLeagues, the ULEB Cup, Saporta Cup, and Korać Cup…
