For several days now, a student blockade has been ongoing in front of RTS, joined by numerous citizens.
The plan is for the blockade to last until the demands are met, which include either calling an election for new REM members or shutting down RTS.
Former basketball player and national team member Vladimir Štimac is also involved in this struggle, and on Thursday during the day he warned that the authorities were planning to violently break up the blockades with the police, which led to a larger number of people arriving at the locations in Takovska Street and Košutnjak.

Štimac pointed out in a social media post that an incident had occurred.
“Veterans neutralized a female person who had a knife. Immediately after that, the UKP arrived and took her away. When you are with children, take a look around and analyze who is nearby – so that children and citizens are safe. Well done to the veterans and the UKP for acting with maximum professionalism.”
This is also a message for everyone to be careful in the coming days.”
