One mandate from the list “Students for Aranđelovac – Youth Wins” has been challenged, and polling station number 1 at the Elementary School “Sveti Sava,” where the student list had a huge lead, has been overturned, reports Glas Šumadije.
On this occasion, the students from Aranđelovac spoke out, reports Glas Šumadije.
“The place with the sticks, pressures, and chaos: right there is where the SNS annulled the votes. Poling station number 1 at the ES ‘Sveti Sava’ was not overturned by accident. That is the place where there was a call center next to the school, where that call center was smashed, where people with sticks gathered, where citizens were under pressure, where institutions did not react. And that is the place where we won. With a difference of 101 votes. That is why they are annulling it. The Serbian Progressive Party does not accept defeat, so it is trying to erase it. We defend every vote,” they stated.
Glas Šumadije reminds that the list led by the Serbian Progressive Party in Aranđelovac won 21 mandates in the local parliament, while the student list has 20.
On the list, headed by the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, the Socialist Party of Serbia has two mandates, and the Zavetnici party has one. As Glas Šumadije learns unofficially, but quite reliably, the Aranđelovac socialists are close to the vice president of the party Branko Ružić, and the Zavetnici are seeking the position of municipal president. Because of this, it is important for the SNS that the “Russians,” whose list did not pass the census despite the minority requirement, receive one mandate.
