In the world of American university sports, one name is increasingly attracting attention – Kristina Perić, a girl from Belgrade who has become a synonym for talent, perseverance, and work that inevitably brings success.
Kristina is the captain of the POST University volleyball team in Connecticut, the top scorer in the NCAA DII league, and also a student with a 4.0 GPA in her second master’s program.
Even during her studies at AIC College (American International College) in Springfield, Kristina showed that she possesses a champion’s character. She was part of the team that won titles in the NE10 conference, along with other Serbian talents, Aleksandra Ivanović and Anđela Bublić, about whom Serbian Times already wrote in the article „Three Serbian Graces Conquered America“. Although it was clear then that a serious career was ahead of this girl, Kristina exceeds expectations daily.

After completing her undergraduate studies, Kristina decided to take a step further. She transferred to POST University within the CACC conference, where she continued her master’s studies, which she finished this year with a 4.0 GPA, and immediately enrolled in a second master’s, the MBA program, which she will complete in 2026. Parallel to her academic success, her athletic performance continues to impress. She has been named Player of the Week four times, along with two other official conference commendations.
Today, as the captain of the POST University team, Kristina leads her teammates and statistically dominates the league. On the NCAA DII list, where nearly 5,000 volleyball players from all over America compete, Kristina is currently first in the number of points scored, and her name is increasingly mentioned in the context of the All-American award, thus confirming her status as one of the best volleyball players in the American university system.
Although on another continent, Kristina does not forget her roots. Born in Belgrade, she proudly emphasizes her origin and often shares support for her colleagues from Serbia on social media. On her YouTube channel, which you can find at the link HERE, you will see selected videos and moments from the court that testify to her fighting spirit, team spirit, and the energy with which she inspires her teammates.
This is not just a story about athletic success, but a story about a Serbian woman who proved that with hard work, discipline, and persistence, all boundaries can be pushed – both in sports and in education. Kristina Perić is someone who should be a role model for young people in Serbia and proof that top results can be achieved far from home, but with a heart that still beats for the homeland.
