Several faculties located on Studentski trg and the surrounding area were left without heating today.
Biljana Stojković, a professor at the Faculty of Biology, said it is not known if it is a malfunction.
The Belgrade Electric Company’s website announced a breakdown on a section of the main heat pipeline in the Danube heating area, specifically at the intersection of Kapetan Mišina and Skenderbegova streets. There is also a malfunction in the facilities at Terazije number 41.
Students at the Teachers’ Faculty (Kraljice Natalije 43) confirmed that they also have no heating, and they were told that it was a malfunction. Students at the Nikola Tesla Electrical Engineering High School, located on the same street, were also left without heating, and parents were informed that classes in the afternoon shift would be shortened to half an hour.

A female student from the Faculty of Fine Arts also confirmed for Nova.rs that there is no heating at that faculty either.
“We, as students of the Faculty of Fine Arts, want it to be known that our faculty has had no heating since today. It’s very strange that faculties in the city center where there are blockades have no heating,” she said.
The heating is also not working at the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade, which is completely blocked. A student, Teodora, told Nova.rs that they were told it was a malfunction, and that the same was the case with the Faculty of Applied Arts.
“It’s very cold. Bring us blankets,” Teodora told us.
