Serbian basketball player Nikola Đurišić has signed a contract with the Atlanta Hawks, the American club announced today.
Đurišić, 21, played for the College Park Skyhawks in the NBA G League during the 2024/25 season, averaging 10.5 points, 3.5 assists, and 3.1 rebounds. The Serbian basketball player was selected as the 43rd pick by Atlanta in last year’s NBA draft.
In the 2023/24 season, playing for Mega in the ABA League, he averaged 15.4 points, 3.5 assists, and 2.9 rebounds. He is characterized by excellent court vision, and given his similar developmental path – arriving in the NBA from Mega in the second round of the draft – many have compared him to Nikola Jokić.
The Atlanta Hawks concluded their 2024/25 season in the Eastern Conference play-in tournament of the NBA league, Tanjug reports.
