Serbia’s footballers defeated Andorra with a score of 3:0 in a Group K match of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Aleksandar Mitrović was the hat-trick scorer in the 12th, 24th, and 53rd minute from a penalty.

Serbia thus recorded its first victory in the qualifiers after an initial goalless draw against Albania in Tirana.

The Eagles currently have four points from two matches and are in third place in the group.

England is first with a maximum of nine points from three matches.

Second-placed Albania has 5 points from four games.

Albania drew with Latvia in Riga 1:1, a result that suits the Eagles.
Latvia remained on three points, while last-placed Andorra is without points.

In the September cycle, Serbia first visits Latvia on September 6, and then hosts England three days later in a big group derby.

The match was marked by the fantastic Aleksandar Mitrović, who scored a hat-trick in his 100th match for Serbia.

Serbia took the lead through Mitrović in the 12th minute. A quick three-move action; Katai, Vlahović, Mitrović, and an easy execution by the Serbian goal scorer.

In the 24th minute, Mitrović doubled the Eagles’ lead. After Živković’s corner from the right side, Mitrović, with an experienced striker’s flick of the head, outsmarted Alvarez.

The teams went to halftime with this result.

In the 53rd minute, Mitrović scored his third goal, this time from a penalty. Previously, the visiting defender played with his hand in his penalty area.

There was no change in the result until the end of the match; Serbia routinely maintained its lead, and the Eagles recorded an expected and convincing victory.
