Republika Srpska is entering the world of high technologies by launching the production of unmanned systems “Muva” and “Gavran.” The project, implemented in cooperation between domestic experts and American technology, has received full support from the Government of RS, which guarantees a secure market for these innovative products.

In the premises of the Banja Luka company “Kosmos,” the startup project of the firm “RMUS – Balkan” was presented, which will become the first virtual member of the Science and Technology Park of Republika Srpska. Drone production is based on advanced technology from the American company “RMUS,” and the goal is to strengthen the domestic knowledge-based economy.

Prime Minister Savo Minić, who attended the presentation, stated that it is of key importance for Republika Srpska to follow contemporary technological trends. He emphasized that institutions will provide maximum logistical and infrastructural support so that production can begin as soon as possible.

The project brought together the top of the academic and political community, including the ministers of interior affairs, economy, and scientific and technological development, as well as the rector of the University of Banja Luka.

The Minister for Scientific and Technological Development and Higher Education, Draga Mastilović, assessed that this step brings a dual benefit: in addition to production itself, intensive development of new technologies is also planned within the Science and Technology Park, whose new facility is expected soon.

The Director of the Science and Technology Park, Nikola Dragović, pointed out that the company “RMUS – Balkan” is an example of how the park connects the IT sector, the government, and the academic community. The company’s representative, Velibor Brlek, confirmed that the presented technologies are already ready for serial production and that, due to their characteristics, they are extremely competitive on the international market.

It is expected that the production of the “Muva” and “Gavran” drones will significantly enhance the capacities of the domestic economic sector, but also serve as an important tool for educational institutions and specialized state services.
