An aircraft of the company Air Serbia, which will transport Serbian citizens from Dubai, took off this morning from Belgrade.

The return of Serbian citizens from war-affected areas was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and State Secretary in that ministry Damjan Jović is also on the plane that departed for Dubai.

The return to Belgrade is expected in the late evening hours.

In an operation organized by the Government of Serbia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Serbian citizens evacuated from Israel were returned from Sharm El Sheikh on Wednesday aboard an Air Serbia aircraft.

Captain Marko Tasić said just before takeoff that it is an honor and a pleasure to be in the service of one’s people when it is needed the most.

“We are departing for Dubai. The goal is the evacuation of our citizens. I am pleased that the national company always stands with our citizens,” said Captain Tasić.
