Teacher Eva (74) from a small town in Sweden and her friend Paul from Canada embarked on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem exactly 3 years ago and have so far covered half of the journey to Jerusalem, which is about 8,000 kilometers. They recently arrived in Belgrade and visited students of the Faculty of Philosophy.

Eva Adela Johanson told N1 that they met on a pilgrimage in Santiago, Spain, in 2008, and decided to go on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem because they love adventures and hiking.

“I was surprised when in Spain I met a lady who asked him why he was going in the opposite direction – instead of going towards Santiago, I was going from Santiago to Jerusalem,” said Paul.

Eva and Paul recently visited students of the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade. “I am happy to have met the students and that they are fighting for the right thing – for freedom, justice,” he said.
