The Partizan basketball players failed to break their losing streak in the Euroleague, although they were very close, as one of the most exciting matches of the season was played tonight in the sold-out Arena. After a lot of drama, completely unexpected, Barcelona basketball players achieved a new victory, while the black and whites suffered their fifth consecutive defeat in the elite competition…
From the very beginning of the match, everything was crackling on the court of the sold-out Belgrade Arena, on both sides of the court, the fans could enjoy a great basketball performance, but they will leave the hall with a bitter taste, as their favorites lost again in a close finish.
The black and whites entered the match with great motivation, with the desire to break the black streak in the elite competition on the wings of more than 20,000 Grobari, given that Željko Obradović’s team had suffered four consecutive defeats until tonight! The black and whites couldn’t have imagined a better start, as they reached a double-digit lead (21:11) in the middle of the first quarter, however, the Catalan club managed to stop the rush of the inspired hosts with a 9-0 series!

The black and whites played brilliantly in the first quarter, their shots were on target and they caused big problems for the Spanish giant, however, the situation turned 180 degrees in the second quarter. Everything we saw in the first 10 minutes of the game was not the case in the continuation…
Barcelona started to dominate, the guests were “shooting” from all weapons while Željko Obradović’s team did not look like themselves. Mistakes piled up, there was no idea in the attack, which the guests used and managed to pull away.
The second quarter belonged completely to the Catalan team (30:12) and then it was clear to many in which direction the match would go…
However, Barcelona failed to calmly finish the match, but complicated the situation for themselves.
