The blockade of the building housing the Prosecutor’s Office and the court in Novi Sad ended today around 1:30 PM, and opposition MPs at the republic and provincial levels announced that they would organize a new blockade in front of the building tomorrow at 7:30 AM and added that it would be more massive.
They said that all opposition MPs and councilors would participate in tomorrow’s blockade.
At the end of the blockade, they painted a symbol of bloody hands in red paint on the signs of the appellate, higher, and basic courts in Novi Sad.
Opposition councilor Miran Pogačar said he would not give up on seeking justice for the victims of the Novi Sad tragedy and demanding accountability for those responsible for the crime.
“We still don’t have a single suspect, not a single accused, and the activists who are in custody, although they are innocent, and the court is not acting on their appeals,” said Pogačar.
He said that the fight would continue and added that the opposition would not allow anyone else to suffer under the regime of Aleksandar Vučić.
He called on citizens to join tomorrow’s blockade in front of the prosecutor’s office building.
Police in full riot gear are still standing in front of the building even after the opposition MPs and councilors dispersed.

Opposition Demands
Opposition MPs and councilors blocked the Novi Sad Palace of Justice in protest against the arrest of activists following a large protest in Novi Sad on November 5 due to the collapse of a canopy at Novi Sad Railway Station, which killed 15 people and seriously injured two. They also demand the names of natural and legal persons for whom there is reasonable suspicion of being responsible for the collapse of the canopy.
MP Marinika Tepić says they demand the release of people who were arrested after the protest in Novi Sad, as well as the final bringing to justice of those responsible for the collapse of the canopy.
