The Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade today received the autopsy report with toxicological analysis from the Institute of Forensic Medicine of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade, regarding the death of 25-year-old M. Ž., who died on March 26, 2026.
-In the interest of the public, we announce that the findings indicate that death occurred due to injuries sustained from a fall from a height, while toxicological analyses did not detect the presence of medications or other psychoactive substances – states the announcement of the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade.
The Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade, it is added, continues the pre-investigation procedure regarding the death of M. Ž. and the circumstances under which the ignition of pyrotechnic devices occurred on the 5th floor of the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade, on March 26 around 10:40 p.m., and determining whether there were failures of responsible persons regarding the safety of students and employees at the faculty.
