Dušan Vidić, the biological brother of renowned Serbian footballer Nemanja Vidić, was laid to rest at Lešće Cemetery, four days after information reached the public that Dušan’s lifeless body had been found. The former captain of Red Star Belgrade and Manchester United did not comment on the family tragedy, and it is known that he was very close to his brother.
Among others, Nemanja Vidić appeared at Lešće to see Dušan off to his final resting place. Alongside him were the closest members of the Vidić family, as well as several prominent figures from the world of football and Serbian sport. Out of respect for the former international, they came to offer their condolences to one of the best defenders Serbia has ever had.
Former teammates Aleksandar Kolarov and Dušan Basta, as well as football officials such as Ivica Tončev and Zoran Laković, were present alongside Nemanja Vidić in a very difficult moment for his family.
