An unprecedented tragedy that occurred near Derventa has hit and deeply shaken the entire region. In a horrific traffic accident that took place on Thursday, April 2, two young lives were extinguished, and three small children were left without both parents.
Priest Nenad Mitric (33) and his wife Nedeljka (32), who was in a blessed state, perished in the accident. Their three children — Danilo (2), Teodora (4), and Vasilije (6) — sustained injuries in this accident, but fortunately, they are out of life-threatening danger and are currently recovering.
While the region says goodbye to the beloved priest and his wife, Nenad’s own brother, Boris, is ready to take over the care of the children.
“There is no going back; now my only strength comes from fighting for the children. I will file a request to be granted guardianship,” Boris said.
In cooperation with Boris, the Rodoljublje Foundation has launched a major humanitarian fundraising campaign to provide the youngsters with a more secure future after a loss that cannot be compensated by anything. We invite all people of good will to join and help the little ones who lost everything in a single day.
