A student of the Faculty of Law in Niš, Mateja Nikolić, took his first exam today since the faculty blockades began. He wrote on the social network “X” that five inspectors were waiting for him in the classroom at the faculty before the exam.
Instead of being relaxed and focused on the material during the exam, Mateja was disturbed because five inspectors were waiting for him in the classroom at the faculty.
“Today I took my first exam since the beginning of the blockade. And instead of focusing on the material, five inspectors were waiting for me in the classroom at the faculty! Four in front of me, one behind my back. Why? To intimidate me? To humiliate me? Do you think it is normal to take an exam under surveillance as if I were a criminal? I will remember every stress you have caused me, every attempt to intimidate me. There will be exam periods, I will pass the exams, but you? What will you do when all this is over? I will not forget you. And I will not forgive you,” Mateja wrote on the social network “X”.

Mateja is one of the five students who were detained in Niš on August 17. As he told the media that evening after his release, the police took his chocolate milk, pesto sauce, and a diving mask.
“Police officers intercepted me on my way home and put me in a police vehicle and brought me here. I was going shopping, as you can see, I’m in slippers. I went to Maxi, I bought pasta, chocolate milk, pesto sauce, a diving mask, and so on. Those items were taken from me, they will be returned to me tomorrow,” he stated.
This student of the Faculty of Law in Niš was also arrested in March when the people of Niš drove the progressives out of their city. The prosecution charged him with the criminal offenses of violent behavior at a sports event or public gathering and abuse and torture.
The court, however, refused to conclude a plea agreement, claiming that there were no elements of a criminal offense, so Nikolić was eventually acquitted of all charges.
