For the 33rd time, the election of Kosovka girl was held. This time, it was organized by the Gračanica Cultural Center, under the patronage of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, as well as with the support of public institutions and local self-governments.

This time, Kristina Jokić from the village of Banje, Srbica municipality, took this honorary title.

“I didn’t expect to win, I’m wearing a Prizren costume, I’m in shock,” Jokić stated.

The first runner-up is Jovana Nedeljković from Laplje Selo. “Tonight I won the title of first runner-up. The feeling is beautiful and indescribable, it is a great honor to bear the title of Kosovka girl. I want to tell all girls to believe in themselves, tradition is something that connects us and keeps us together. My costume is Sirinić,” Jovana stated.

The second runner-up is Andrea Mirić from Bresje, who wore the costume of Staro Gracko. She says that her dream of participating in the Kosovka girl selection has come true.

Eleven girls competed for the title of the most beautiful Kosovka girl, making it a challenging task for the jury. The jury consisted of six members, headed by Jasmina Stevanović, secretary of the secretariat of social activities of Subotica.

A rich cultural and artistic program was prepared for all attendees.

Sisters Vera and Neda Stolić, originally from Priština, performed traditional songs. “I would like to thank each of you for continuing to inhabit our Kosovo and Metohija and for continuing to preserve it because truly, despite everything, all difficulties and temptations, you are truly the best and most authentic representatives of our faith, tradition, and culture,” said Vera Stolić.

There was also folklore and other performers of ethno and traditional songs.

The event was attended by Metropolitan Teodosije, Assistant Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Milena Parlić, Assistant Miloš Terzić, as well as representatives of local self-governments, provisional bodies, and enterprises and public institutions.
