HORROR IN THE CENTER OF BELGRADE: Body of a young woman found on the plateau in front of the Faculty of Philosophy, police investigate circumstances!

The lifeless body of a female person, approximately 25 years old, was found on the plateau in front of the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade. According to initial information, pyrotechnic devices were previously activated and ignited on the fifth floor of the faculty, after which, it is suspected, the young woman jumped out of a window, said the head of the Stari Grad Police Station, Radenko Resanović, as announced by the Ministry of Interior.

Resanović specified that police officers received the report at 22:40 last night, after which they immediately went to the scene, where they found a female person showing no signs of life, the statement adds.

“According to initial information obtained from eyewitnesses, pyrotechnic devices were activated and ignited on the fifth floor of the Faculty of Philosophy, after which, it is suspected, a female person, most likely a student of the faculty, jumped out of a window,” Resanović stated.

He emphasized that the competent prosecutor’s office was informed about the incident and ordered an investigation.

“Investigation teams are at the scene, and the securing and documentation of all traces is ongoing, as well as the collection of statements from eyewitnesses,” Resanović said, adding that the pyrotechnic devices that had been activated were later extinguished by faculty employees, while it is still not known how they were brought into the building.

Resanović stressed that the improper use of pyrotechnic devices, which can endanger human lives and lead to serious consequences, is to be strongly condemned, according to the statement.

“Any ignition and improper use of such pyrotechnic devices that can endanger citizens’ lives is to be strongly condemned. Any improper handling of pyrotechnic devices is to be condemned, as we can see what consequences they can lead to,” Resanović said.
