Four people were killed and 14 were injured in a shooting at a family gathering in the city of Stockton in northern California, local police announced.
Stockton Deputy Mayor Jason Lee stated that the shooting occurred at a children’s birthday party, and that they are insisting on accurate information and answers from security services.

Police stated that they received reports of a shooting near the 1900 block of Lucile Avenue in Stockton.
“We can confirm that 14 people were struck by gunfire, and four victims died from their wounds. Early findings indicate that this may have been a targeted incident, but investigators are analyzing all possibilities,” the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office said.
Authorities have not yet released details about the person who fired the weapon.
