The Serbian team won four medals at the International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad in Brazil, which represents the greatest success of our country so far at this prestigious competition.
The International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad is one of the most prestigious competitions in the field of chemistry, which for more than half a century has gathered talented high school students from all over the world.
The Serbian team achieved a historic result, winning a total of four medals, which represents the greatest success of our country so far at this competition.

Silver medals were won by Janko Popović, a graduating student of the Mathematical Gymnasium, and Uroš Mladenović, a graduating student of the Gymnasium in Kruševac.
The bronze medal went to Andrej Drobnjaković, a third-grade student of the Mathematical Gymnasium, and Luka Švraka, a graduating student of the “Isidora Sekulić” Gymnasium in Novi Sad.
Preparations for the Olympiad were led by a group of prominent experts including Dr. Niko Radulović (also the team leader), Dr. Vidak Raičević, and Filip Koldžić.

This year, the 59th Mendeleev Olympiad was held from May 5th to 12th in Brazil, organized by the Department of Chemistry of Lomonosov Moscow State University and the Federal University of Minas Gerais in Belo Horizonte.
The Olympiad provides students with the opportunity to apply their knowledge in solving demanding theoretical and practical tasks, with high scientific standards and reputation.
