Dairy and livestock farmers, gathered in the “Our Milk” association and the “Association for the Rescue and Survival of Livestock Farmers of Western Serbia,” tonight requested an urgent meeting with the Minister of Agriculture and his associates due to what they stated as the unsustainable situation in agriculture.
“Regarding the current situation concerning the unsustainable state in the agricultural sector and the serious economic consequences suffered by domestic milk and meat producers due to imports and purchases at dumping prices, as well as due to unfulfilled previous agreements, we demand an urgent meeting with the Minister of Agriculture Dragan Glamočić,” announced the leaders of the aforementioned associations.

“We request that complete data on the import of milk, beef, and pork, as well as relevant reports from the competent services, be prepared for the meeting, and that, in addition to Glamočić, the Minister of Trade, the Director of the Veterinary Directorate, the Director of the Agricultural Payments Directorate, and the head of the agricultural inspection sector also attend the meeting,” the farmers wrote.
