The Serbian national team has won two bronze medals and two honorable mentions in the individual competition at the 2nd International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence in Beijing, as well as an excellent 8th place in the team competition.
The bronze medals were won by Aleksa Bolić, a student from the “Jovan Jovanović Zmaj” Gymnasium in Novi Sad, and Filip Kilibarda, a student from the Mathematical Gymnasium in Belgrade. Honorable mentions were awarded to Andrej Tetkić, a student from the “Mihajlo Pupin” Electrical Engineering School, and Veljko Galović, a student from the “Veljko Petrović” Gymnasium in Sombor.
In the team standings, our national team took 8th place out of a total of 78 teams, which is another significant recognition given the extremely strong competition. This year, the International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI) in Beijing hosted 293 competitors from 58 countries.
The leader of the Serbian team was Ivan Radivojević, a software engineer.
