DOUBLE MURDER IN NIKŠIĆ: The bodies of a woman and a man were found, the police identified the attacker!

The bodies of two people, a woman and a man, were found last night in an apartment in Peka Pavlovića Street in the center of Nikšić, the RTCG portal reports.

According to unofficial information from the same portal, it is a double murder. The police conducted an investigation that same evening.

As Pobjeda learns, the identity of the murder suspect is known and a search is underway for him.

The Police Administration announced that police officers of the Regional Security Center “West,” Nikšić Security Department, were informed last night around 7:20 p.m. by a family member that M.P. (74) was not answering their phone calls and that they had not established contact with this person for two days.

– Undertaking comprehensive measures and actions to find this person and establish all circumstances, police officers of the Nikšić Security Department located an apartment, which was locked. In accordance with legal authority, police officers entered the apartment where they found the lifeless body of M.P., as well as the lifeless body of M.V. (41) with visible injuries suspected to have been caused by the use of a cold weapon – a knife. The rented apartment was used by M.V – the police statement says.

Without delay, as stated, the prosecutor in the Higher State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica was informed about the event and, together with police officers, conducted an on-site investigation.

– During the undertaken police – prosecutorial activities, the police obtained information about the identity of the perpetrator of this criminal act, whose location and deprivation of liberty are being intensively worked on. The motive for this serious criminal act is known to the competent authorities, and taking into account its severity, as well as the private circumstances of the injured parties and the perpetrator, we cannot release more details at this stage of the proceedings – the Police Administration statement said.
