Former U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris, who lost the presidential election to Donald Trump, said in an interview with BBC that she might run for the White House again in 2028.

Kamala Harris told the BBC that it is possible she will one day become president and that she is convinced there will be a woman in the White House in the future.

She dismissed the polls that label her as an outsider when it comes to the Democrats’ choice for their next presidential candidate.

Her opponent in the previous election, now U.S. President Donald Trump, she called a “tyrant,” emphasizing that the warnings she gave during her campaign have proven true.

Speaking about the chances of a woman becoming U.S. president, Harris said that her great-granddaughters “will surely” see a woman president in their lifetime. When asked if that woman could be her, she replied — “possible,” confirming that she is considering another run for the nation’s highest office.

She added that she has not yet made a decision, but stressed that she still sees herself as someone with a future in politics.

“I’m not done,” said the former vice president. “I’ve spent my entire career in public service, and that’s at the core of who I am,” she noted.
