CHAOS AROUND “ĆACILEND”: Knife attack in front of the National Assembly, police arrest young man!

Early this morning around 4:10 a.m., an attack occurred in front of the Assembly in Belgrade, and the injured man was treated at the Emergency Center.

Members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, intervention police units engaged in securing the public gathering in front of the National Assembly building, arrested D. P. (1998) on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of minor bodily injury.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs states that D. P. is suspected of injuring a 37-year-old man, a participant of the reported gathering, with a knife in the thigh area this morning around 4:10 a.m. on the plateau in front of the National Assembly.

The injured man was treated at the Emergency Center.

The suspect has been detained for up to 48 hours and will be brought before the First Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade along with a criminal complaint.

Let us recall, on October 22, there was also an attack in front of the Serbian Parliament on one of the tents, during which M. B. was shot in the leg.

The attacker, V. A., has since been held in custody, and the prosecution has classified the criminal offense as attempted murder.
