The President of the Serbian Parliament stated that there will be no large gathering organized by the government on March 15 in Belgrade and that there will be no counter-rally.

“March 14, 15, and 16 are working days for us, the parliament will be in session discussing the situation in Republika Srpska, and I will invite Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik as well. So if anyone wants to occupy institutions, they should remember at what moment they are choosing to do so for Serbia,” Brnabić said on Pink TV.

She expressed hope that the majority of students would distance themselves from ideas of storming the parliament.

Brnabić added that while there will be no gathering on March 15, a rally of ruling party supporters could be expected at a later date.

To recall, students announced during protests in Niš that they would organize a new major protest in Belgrade on March 15. President Aleksandar Vučić responded yesterday by saying that a “counter-revolution” was coming and that he would call all of Serbia to the capital.

“We will soon invite you all to Belgrade. We will invite everyone, all of Serbia, to show that Serbia is not just a handful of grain that they can devour with ease,” Vučić said yesterday at a gathering in the “Bobana Momčilović Veličković” Sports Center in Bor. He concluded his speech with the words: “See you soon.”
