Police today raided the home of retired first-class captain, Branko Momčilović Majkan, a veteran of the wars in Slovenia, Croatia, and Kosovo.

As reported to Nova.rs portal, the police searched his home on the grounds that he is suspected of committing the criminal offense of Preparation of an act against the constitutional order and security of Serbia.

At the same time, lawyer Ivan Ninić announced on the social network X that the house of Novica Antić, former president of the Military Trade Union of Serbia, is currently being searched.

“The family home of Novica Antić in Kragujevac is currently being searched because on Saturday, he, as always before, was supposed to come to Belgrade for a protest with veterans. Oscar has completely lost his compass and has started a volley of revenge, but I don’t know which dictator in the world has managed to defeat the people,” Ninić wrote on the social network X.

He adds that the Higher Court in Kragujevac explained the reasons for the search.

“As the basis for searching Novica Antić’s family home, the Higher Court in Kragujevac fictitiously states: ‘Inciting violent change of the constitutional order’ (Art. 309 of the Criminal Code) and ‘Preparation of an act against the constitutional order and security of Serbia’ (Art. 320 of the Criminal Code),” stated lawyer Ivan Ninić.

The Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade reports that three individuals have been arrested on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of Preparation of an act against the constitutional order and security of Serbia under Article 320, in connection with Article 309 of the Criminal Code.

As stated in the announcement, those arrested are I. M., N. A., and B. M.

The announcement specifies that there are grounds to suspect that the aforementioned suspects held a meeting on June 21, 2025, in a hotel in Kraljevo and planned a violent change of government in the Republic of Serbia.

“Specifically, they agreed not to return home until they ‘killed or destroyed’ representatives of state institutions, announced the use of firearms, conspired to attack police officers with the aim of disarming them, and violently invade the Government of Serbia building and other institutions, as well as media houses Radio-Television of Serbia, Happy, and Informer,” the statement reads.

According to the statement, I. A. was arrested in Gugalj, on the way to Požega.

“In the ‘Škoda’ vehicle he was driving, a CZ 765 pistol with a filed serial number, with a magazine containing seven rounds and a factory box with 25 pieces of corresponding ammunition, was found in a bag,” the prosecution states.

With the criminal complaint, I. A. will also be charged with the criminal offense of Unauthorized production, possession, carrying, and trafficking of firearms and explosive devices under Article 348 of the Criminal Code.

It is emphasized that N. A. and B. M. were arrested in Kragujevac.

The suspects will be brought for questioning at the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade within 48 hours.
