The president of the People’s Movement of Serbia, Miroslav Aleksić, speaking about the incidents during the tribute on March 15, asks whether it is true that the Security Intelligence Agency (BIA) took over the sound cannon from the Gendarmerie a few days before the protest and whether it was activated by a member of the BIA.
“The gathering was marked by the regime’s willingness to strike at its own people, at the moment of paying tribute. The government showed that it does not hesitate to strike at the people and apply repression. This morning Vučić said that someone invented the story about the sound cannon, that the Serbian Army and the Cobras do not have them, that no one reported to the Emergency Center that they felt unwell. The same man also said that the canopy was not reconstructed, that students attacked a gendarme… He did not miss the opportunity to threaten citizens, saying that all those who spread untruths that a sound cannon was used will be held accountable,” Aleksić said at a press conference in the Serbian Assembly.
The president of NPS asked several questions to the competent institutions, related to the incident during the tribute.
“Who and on whose order procured this means of coercion called a sound wave emitting device or sound cannon, which was provided for in the Draft Law on Internal Affairs that was not adopted, because citizens rebelled during the public consultation? A device was illegally procured that is one of the most extreme according to that draft law,” Aleksić stated.
As he pointed out, Aleksandar Vulin, while he was the Minister of Internal Affairs, testified how the device works.

Did a member of the BIA activate the device during the tribute?” he asked.
Lawyer and official of the Serbian Progressive Party, Vladimir Đukanović, shared a post on social networks mocking the allegations of protesters that a sound cannon was used in Belgrade last night. Đukanović wrote on the social network X: “The sound cannon ruined the revolution,” with emojis crying with laughter.

“That was the moment of celebration in Informer, when they saw that citizens had fallen on the street. They thanked Vule, referring to Vulin, who is responsible for what happened,” Aleksić emphasized.
He also asks who ordered the police to photograph people in the Emergency Center who reported having difficulties, that patients are not registered in the Emergency Center, as he stated, but that parallel lists are kept.
“On Saturday, the era of stabilocracy ended in Belgrade, I thank the students and their struggle. We had the opportunity to witness the largest gathering ever held in Serbia, and the whole world saw it, and since Saturday nothing is the same. Everything that was announced by the regime did not happen. No one from the gathering broke into RTS or the Assembly, no one tried to carry out coups, colored revolutions, and everything that the president announced in his speeches,” he said.
