The young Serbian judoka continued to dominate in the up to 73 kilograms category. After European gold and gold from EYOF, Veljko also won a gold medal at the World Cadet Championship in Sofia.

Veljko Varničić is a talented judoka from Serbia who broke through on the international scene by winning a gold medal at the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) in the up to 73 kilograms category. Varničić regularly participates in European competitions in the cadet category. At the Eurocups for cadets during 2024 and 2025, in the up to 73 kg category, he was among the fighters who achieved the best placement – bronze in Poland and gold in Croatia.
Other placements include medals at competitions in Győr, Koper, Teplice…
