Serbian tennis player Aleksandra Krunić and Kazakhstani Ana Danilina qualified for the semifinals of the Australian Open in Melbourne, by defeating Czech Kateřina Siniaková and American Taylor Townsend 6:2, 3:6, 6:0.
Krunić and Danilina, who are seeded seventh, defeated the first seeds of the women’s doubles after an hour and 40 minutes of play.
In the semifinals, the Serbian-Kazakhstani pair awaits the Canadian-Brazilian combination Gabriela Dabrowski/Luisa Stefani (fifth seeds).
For reaching the semifinals, they will be rewarded with 275,000 Australian dollars.
